So since I have two blogs I am a little confused as to where to post this blog. Really it should probably be in my other blog which is about me - but since "love" is what got me into this little predicament that resulted in this blog I guess I can post it here.
Since I am not working and we have cable, I spend most of my days laying on the couch like a beached whale, surfing the internet and watching tv. I get up only to feed Nic and use the bathroom... and make the occasional foray out of the house - either to Target or Anna's house. To be honest, there really isn't much I like watching but I still seem to spend a ridiculous amount of time glued to the tube. Right now I am watching "A Lot Like Love", a movie! Thats exciting because I rarely find a movie worth watching which means I have to go to all the hard work of searching for a new channel to watch every 30 to 60 minutes. Not so tonight!
Anyways, I guess it would probably be filed under a chick flick but so far its pretty funny. I am only about half way through though so if it ends wrong then I will probably have to amend this post to say it was actually a terrible movie.
ANYWAYS! (I keep getting off track...)
Whenever I watch chick flicks or movies about love it makes me like my husband so much. Because really he is much cuter and sweeter than anyone in a movie. And I think we have practically as much comic relief as any funny love movie. Although at the time things might not seem funny, looking back later they are. Its funny how when you get married you really don't know anything about love and really, I don't think I do yet - my philosophy of love is still expanding. But I think that I kind of agree with something that was said in a really cheesy teen movie (ok, ok - its from "Save The Last Dance") "you can't help who you love". I don't think either Nic or I had someone like each other in mind for our spouse, not that Nic isn't great. Its just that who would have expected me to date someone with a lifted Jeep who loves to hunt and fish and used to work at Hollister? And I don't think that he planned on marrying someone who is basically a flaming liberal, listens to hardcore music and avoids large gatherings of people.
But no matter how mad he makes me it only takes about 10 minutes for me to get over it because he is so stinkin cute! And despite all our differences i really don't know how life would work without him. Thankfully the person I can't help but love is a great guy, unlike the loser that girl in "Save The Last Dance" loved.
(The movie ended how it should have, but it took forever to get there!)
