Remy has been pretty busy the last couple of days.
On Monday Remy meet his cousin, Beckham. Beckham's daddy is Mike, Nics first cousin. Nic and Mike used to live together and spent quite a bit of time together growing up but since meeting their respective spouses have seen eachother maybe twice.
I love the look on Remy's face - "What the?!!"
I was not able to meet Beckham because I had to work but I am hoping to meet him today.
Yesterday Remy helped me work on recovering a bench. It actually had been recovered once before so I took that off and found the original cream cover with a nice purple stain.
Here is Remy measuring for material. This photo was not posed. He was very intent on crawling all over the cushion with the measuring tape.
Then we had to cut the fabric. I had to measure, mark and cut while fighting with him for everything I needed to do it.
Everything is ready to go, now I just need to get the staple gun from Mark and Naomi.
A little while later I heard Remy yelling in the guest room/sewing room/office and I went in to check on him. He had squeezed himself inbetween the bed and the bookcase and was trying to get the Calvin and Hobbes books off the shelf.
Nic had given me 4 or 5 Calvin and Hobbes books when we got married because we both love that comic. Calvin is just like my brother Eddy was growing up and now Jackson reminds us a little of him. I guess Remy wanted to do a little research on how to be naughty.
So we looked through the book and now he drags it around the house with him.
Last night was my first night at my new job working at Walgreens. It went pretty good, I am just not used to being on my feet. I missed Remy more than I thought. When I work at Lake and Home I am gone for maybe 2 hours and I am alone most of the time. At Walgreens I work 4-5 hours and obviously see people. I kept seeing cute little babies last night which made me miss Remy. Thankfully Nic brought him in for a couple of minutes so I could kiss his fat little cheeks.
Speaking of working, I am working every day between my two jobs for the next two weeks which will be quite an adjustment for all of us. I feel really positive about it though. It feels good to have "deadlines" for my life. Knowing I have to work in the evenings means I have to get things done during the day. So things I would normally put off until later in the day or until the next day (which really I never get done because I just keep putting them off) I have been getting done in a timely matter. I am just hoping that I don't get too tired and cranky!

I'm looking forward to the "deadlines" too when I return to work! We'll have to come visit you some night!
