Baby's First Time At The Lake

Remy and I went to South Turtle Lake this past weekend. Back in the day both sets of my grandparents, one of my aunts and my parents each had a cabin on South Turtle. My parents sold their cabin when we moved to Fergus Falls when I was 6 but I still have lots of good memories from time spent out there.

It was super warm Saturday and Remy was cranky so I decided it would be a good day to experience the lake.

I forgot Remy's diaper bag which had his supper, diapers and sunhat. Thankfully I had a couple Little Swimmers diapers and Coleen found this old hat that we were able to make small enough to stay on Remy's large head.


I was not sure how Remy would handle the water since the one time I tried to use his pool at home he thought it was too cold and cried until I took him out.

Here he is feeling out the water while holding onto my hand.


He started to sit down after a bit when he realized it was just water like a bath at home...but even better...it had gravel!!



It wasn't too long and he was sitting, then crawling in the water.

We ended up leaving earlier than I planned, since I forgot the diaper bag, but it was still fun to enjoy the cool lake on such a warm day!
