11 months and an Owie

Remington is 11 Months today. I can't believe that he will be 1 year old in a month! I so look forward to him walking, but especially to him talking! I wonder what goes on in that little mind of his and it will be nice when he can tell me he is hungry or thirsty rather than me just guessing.

Remy has an owie. On Tuesday when I took of his helmet I noticed a small bloody scab on the top of his head. I just thought maybe he got a bug bite or something and I had put the helmet on it without realizing it. Last night we took of his helmet for his bath and we found this.

His helmet rubbed the back of his neck raw.
After his last appointment he has been pretty crabby and the first couple of days would not take his bottles or sleep very well. I attributed it to his teething and suspected that his neck had been put out of place during therapy or something. Now I think it was probably because his helmet was rubbing him.
Another factor might be that he has grown. I know he just had a growth spurt this week so its possible that the helmet was tight in that area and then his head grew in the last couple of days and it became too tight.
I talked to Gillette's and sent them pictures. We will leave the helmet off until his head has healed and maybe try to get in for an earlier appointment than next Wednesday. Since taking off his helmet he has been the much happier and even, dare I say it? Cuddly! I think he is happy that we figured out what was bugging him.
