Last night we had our first Childbirth Class. It was boring, interesting and horrifying. We were the only couple there, along with a girl and her mom. It was boring because they covered the basics of the baby inside you, interesting because some things were explained with visual aids so I understood it better (like how your cervix thins and effaces) and horrifying because we had to watch the dreaded movie. Why does it have to be so graphic?! Half of it was computer graphics but of course they couldn't have done the nasty parts with computer graphics. I was sick and poor Nic could hardly watch. After watching that movie I decided I never want to go through childbirth. But I guess its a little late for that.
Despite my firm belief in natural childbirth it almost makes me long for the days when you got knocked out and woke up and there was a baby. Maybe scheduled C-sections aren't so bad after all.....
The baby keeps getting bigger, he takes up all the space in my abdomen and so I am guessing I will just be growing out now, since I don't know where else this baby could go but out. The third trimester hasn't been too bad so far, but we will see how the rest goes.
I have two job interviews this week which is exciting for me! One today for a construction company in Henning. It would mean a commute but its almost exactly what I was doing before. The other is tomorrow for a job with the county. Which is attractive because of no commute and good benefits. Plus jobs with the county are pretty stable, whereas construction jobs depend on things like the economy, how smart the owners are with their money ect. Either way it makes me feel a little better to at least get some interviews. We'll see how they feel about hiring a pregnant woman who's due date is 10 weeks away.

Oh Rachel, I can just imagine.
At least you're preparing yourselves.

I hope you get the county job, I don't care for henning much.
