We told our families this weekend that we are pregnant. I am still 2 weeks away from the 3 month mark but Nic just couldn't wait, even though I was very reluctant to do so.
At least it makes things a little more understandable to our families, especially my unreasonable anger and incessant whining towards Nic. And it makes my mom that much more excited that we are moving closer to home. The closer grandbabies are the more grandmas get to hold them!
I am still not feeling good (o the unending refrain!) but I am holding out hope that in two weeks this will all just melt away. I have discovered when I don't eat 3 regular meals interspersed with lots of fruit and anything else I can stomach, I get a nasty case of the runs. So much for pregnant constipation! Although I am sure once I start taking my prenatal vitamins again I will be in much the same boat as every other pregnant woman.
I read "The Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy" last week and it was great. I read the first edition so its a little outdated in the clothing section and a couple of other areas but its a nice read. Its main purpose is to validate all your crazy feelings and tell you that every other pregnant woman feels this way. I'm not sure if thats good or bad because now I don't even try being even keeled. My most popular phrase to say to Nic is "you just don't know what its like to be pregnant!"
(o long suffering man!). But life goes on, the weeks go by and hopefully its all down hill from here (don't tell me the truth, I would rather live in a hopeful dreamland, Thank you!)
